Housing Benefit Non Dependant Deductions 2015 to 2016

The tables below show you the fixed amounts for non dependant deductions for 2015 to 2016 based on the circumstances of your non dependant.

Housing Benefit Non Dependant Deductions

Housing Benefit is calculated on a weekly basis and most tenancies cover a 52 week period. Some social housing providers have 'rent free weeks' which means that rent is paid over a shorter period of time – usually 48 or 46 weeks.

The circumstances of any non dependants living with you will affect the amount of money that is deducted from your Housing Benefit during the period that you pay rent for. For example: Your non dependant works for 16 or more hours a week and their weekly wage is £129, your Housing Benefit will be reduced £14.55 if you pay your rent over a 52 week period. If you pay rent over a 48 week period then your Housing Benefit will be reduced by £15.76 per week.
